Fox finally announced the return of “Bones” season 11 from winter break, slated in mid-April.
The midseason premiere will continue the story where episode 10 left off with a huge explosion that happened in the midseason finale titled “The Doom in the Boom.” The cast members will still be suffering from the aftermath of the explosion that threatened their lives.
As aired towards the end of episode 10, FBI Agent James Aubrey (John Boyd) underwent a surgery and recovered from his injuries. On the other hand, Dr. Jack Hodgins (T.J. Thyne) was fortunate enough to survive, but not very lucky, as he got paralyzed from his waist down.
In the synopsis that TV Line was able to get, it revealed that the upcoming episode “finds Hodgins eight weeks into his rehabilitation and forced to navigate life in a wheelchair.”
The second half of the show will explore a huge chunk of the story of Dr. Hodgins. Initially, although he was saddened by his paralysis, his wife Angela (Michaela Conlin) will try to keep their marriage intact. However, Angela will not be able to hold on longer as her husband pushes her away. Eventually, she will be tempted to look for sanctuary with Sebastian Kohl (Gil Darnell).
On the other hand, episode 11 will also see Dr. Temperance “Bones” Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and her husband FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) looking for the murderer of a public defender.
The same summary continued, “Meanwhile, Brennan and Booth investigate the death of a public defender who had multiple defendants from previous cases with motives to kill her.”
Episode 11 of “Bones” season 11, titled “The Death in the Defense” will air on April 14 at 8 P.M. EST on Fox.
