The next episode of “Bones” season 11 will finally introduce the new villain that showrunner Michael Peterson hinted about earlier.
According to Ecumenical News, one of the new things that is expected in the second half of the American crime procedural and drama television series is the new villain, which is inspired by a combination of Alfred Hitchcock’s “Psycho” movie in the 1960s, its modern version, Norman Bates in “Bates Motel,” and an episode from “X-Files” titled “Home.”
Titled “The Monster in the Closet,” the synopsis of the upcoming episode gives a hint of what the murderer is capable of doing as well as his style of killing.
The summary posted on TV.com reads, “A social worker’s remains are found, but evidence suggests the victim had been dead for months before the body was dumped in a park, and the case gets even more twisted when it’s linked to a serial killer known for desecrating corpses.”
Bones (Emily Deschanel) and James Aubrey (John Boyd) will be asking the help of a behavioral analyst named Karen Delfs, played by guest star Sara Rue, in order to understand the suspect even better. The expert is expected to be involved in the case for several more episodes.
As for Cam (Tamara Taylor), despite the seriousness of the situation, she will also be concerned on her love life, most likely making a definite decision of who to choose.
The rest of the summary notes, “Meanwhile, Booth and Aubrey hope a behavioral analyst can provide some clues about the murderer; and Cam tries to sort out her romantic life.”
In the promotional trailer of the upcoming episode, the sneak peek highlights the seriousness and severity of the case as the team looks into the grotesque victim. The video even hints that Bones may be challenged beyond the usual, as the question, “Will a disturbing new case send Bones over the edge?” is asked.
Episode 13 of “Bones” season 11 will air on April 28 at 8 P.M. EST on Fox.
