BLUStudio Energy 2, Energy X release date, specs: budget-friendly devices fit a massive battery into a slim body

BLU Products recently released two new smartphones that are big on power. Following the BLU Studio Energy, comes the new Studio Energy 2, and the Energy X. Both devices have a highly powered battery capacity that does not sacrifice fashion over function.

The new Studio Energy 2 boasts, above all else, a massive 5,000 mAh “super battery”claimed to be the largest built-in smartphone battery to date thus far in the mass marketwhich can last for up to 72 hours or 3 days of normal usage, and for up to 30 days of standby life in just a single charge. Add to that the device supports Quick Charge, giving the phone up to 8 hours of talk time power for a charge time of only 20 minutes. However, despite the massive battery power, the Studio Energy 2 maintains a thin body of only 10 mm in depth.

The Studio Energy 2 sports a 5-inch Super AMOLED display with a 720p HD resolution, equipped with a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It runs under a 64-bit MediaTek 6735 chipset, with a quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU, and with a Mali T720 GPU. It packs 1.5 GB of RAM, along with a 16 GB worth of built-in internal storage capacity. It supports external microSD expansion of up to 64 GB worth.

As for the camera, it has an 8 megapixels main rear camera with LED flash that can record videos of up to 1080p Full HD at 30 fps rate. It comes coupled with a 5 megapixels front camera. It boots on Android Lollipop 5.0

The Energy X, meanwhile, also boasts a highly powerful batterya 4,000 mAh juice pack for the device that, oddly, also claims to last for up to 72 hours or 3 days of normal usage, and for up to 30 days of standby life in just a single charge, all enclosed in an 8 mm aluminum metal body. It runs under a MediaTek 6580 chipset, with a quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A7 CPU, and a Mali 400 GPU. It packs 1 GB of RAM, along with 8 GB worth of built in storage, expandable via microSD card for up to 64 GB.

As for the camera, it has an 8 megapixels main rear camera with LED flash that can record videos of up to 1080p Full HD at 30 fps rate. It comes coupled with a 2 megapixels front camera and boots on Android Lollipop 5.1.
