Viewers may be delighted to find out that Netflix has officially renewed the high-tension drama series “Bloodline” for season 3.

According to TV Line, the family’s secret will be further explored in the new run which will have 10 episodes. Confirmed to return and reprise their roles are regular mainstays Kyle Chandler as John Rayburn, Sissy Spacek as Sally Rayburn, Ben Mendelsohn as Danny Rayburn, Linda Cardellini as Meg Rayburn, and Norbert Leo Butz as Kevin Rayburn.

Vice President of Original Content at Netflix Cindy Holland said in a statement that executive producers Todd Kessler, Daniel Zelman and Glenn Kessler “have created a riveting family saga featuring one of the most talented ensembles in the history of television. We can’t wait to see what the next chapter holds for the all-too-human Rayburns.”

Chandler humorously teased before that the family has enough skeletons in the closet to keep the series going “until I’m 92.”

When it comes to the other characters, Butz shared what he hopes to see next for his role as the youngest sibling.

It can be recalled that back in season 2, Kevin found out that Marco (Enrique Murciano) had gathered enough evidence to bring the entire clan down for the death of Danny. In order to protect his loved ones, Kevin decided to kill Marco.

Talking to Yahoo, the actor mused that he is going to take responsibility for his actions, “If he wants to live, he’s going to have to [deal with what he’s done].”

“That’s what will be interesting to see. I mean, I hope he lives, literally, because now he has any number of people who want him gone, including his own siblings. I hope for Kevin that no matter what path he goes down, whether it’s on the good or the bad side of the law, I want him to believe that it’s right. I want him to be unapologetic in the thing he does next,” Butz further explained.

Season 3 of “Bloodline” is slated to air sometime in 2017.
