'Better Call Saul' season 2 spoilers: Jimmy faces consequences of previous actions

The consequences of Jimmy’s previous actions will start to come when episode 4 of “Better Call Saul” season 2 returns.

Back in episode 3, titled “Amarilo,” Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk) closed a deal that may bring in a storm of customers for Davis & Main against competitor Sandpiper. However, given that it posed some legal issues and questionable practices, his team advised against it. Nonetheless, Jimmy ran the commercial, placing him in hot water with Clifford Main (Ed Begley).

In the upcoming episode, titled “Gloves Off,” Jimmy will not only face the consequences of his previous action from the company, but also from his girlfriend Kim (Rhea Seehorn). In the official summary indicated on AMC, it reads, “Jimmy’s actions unexpectedly create waves for Kim. Mike cautiously weighs a lucrative proposal that might bring about dire consequences.”

In the promotional trailer posted on Ecumenical News, it looks like the board will decide to fire him after the questionable action he did previously. Chuck (Michael McKean) also seems to be pushed by the company to stand by the same decision. If this pushes through, it is highly possible that his transformation to the character of Saul Goodman will begin from there.

As for Kim, despite Jimmy’s unwise move, she may continue standing by and supporting him.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Seehorn describes her character’s love for Jimmy as not something “in spite of” his character, but more on an “all-inclusive” feeling. She explained that Kim knows who Jim is as a person.

When asked about until which point will she compromise or “tolerate,” the actress teased that it something that “she is being forced to look at” at this point. Seehorn admitted that she still does not know where the “line” is or if it will “move” or change depending on the circumstance.

“Better Call Saul” will air episode 4 on Mar. 7 on AMC.
