'Battlefield 5' release date: what to expect this week


Fans will be happy to hear more news regarding EA’s highly anticipated title “Battlefield 5.”

According to Gamespot, EA and DICE, the developers behind “Battlefield 5,: recently released a statement revealing details about the upcoming title. It was stated that fans will soon receive a first look into the new installment of the “Battlefield” franchise.

The statement explained that the video game will be directed by Lars Gustavsson and produced by Aleksander Grondal. In addition, it was stated that fans will be able to get a first look into the game through Twitch this Friday.

The developers have released a countdown on the game’s official website. It also allows players to receive exclusive features such as in-game rewards, new content, and sneak peeks of the game. Those interested just have to sign up to receive updates on the upcoming title.

While there has yet to be any confirmation on what the video game will be about, there are speculations that it will take place during World War I. Fans believe that the franchise hopes to go back to its original attack on the film, which will allow players to take on a first-person-shooter perspective.

The speculations came from a previous Gamespot interview with EA’s Chief Financial Officer Blake Jorgensen who revealed that the title will present a military centered game. The chief executive officer of EA, Andrew Wilson, also explained that the new video game will engage many of the players.

He said, “‘As a result of the extended services and content updates that we provide, it’s clear that players want to experience the games we’re delivering for longer periods of time. Looking into next year, we will ensure that our players have enough time between releases to fully explore the depth and innovation in our shooter titles.”

Fans will hear more details about “Battlefield 5” this May 6.
