DC Comics Entertainment and Warner Bros. Pictures are finally set to launch their massive roster of films under the DC Extended Universe. It will begin with the upcoming release of the much awaited film “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.”
With rival company Marvel Studios popular for their post-credit sceneswhich teases future films still connected in one shared universethe DC Extended Universe could be doing the same thing to build up the connection of all their films and characters. But will they, actually? A new report said no, but they will tease and show the connection in some other way.
According to a report by Heroic Hollywood, a source close to the production process of “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” revealed that while the film will not have the usual post-credits scene fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe are used to, it will still connect and introduce to the big screen the Justice League. This will be through the form of a montageone that is done similarly to what director Zack Snyder did in “Watchmen.”
According to the report, the montage will take place during the closing credits scene. But who will appear? Surely most fans now have a fair idea of who might appear, since some charactersCyborg, Aquaman, and The Flashhave long been rumored to be coming to the film too in some capacity. While the report’s source did know the alleged details, they did not share it because according to them, revealing it now would be too much for a spoiler and might actually ruin the film experience entirely.
Will this prove true? Catch “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” when it opens in theaters on March 25, 2016.
