'Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice' news: 'Trinity' heads to Mexico for world premiere; rumors reveal Warner Bros. still weary of film's success

Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” is almost here and director Zack Snyder revealed that the world wide premiere of the superhero juggernaut will be in Mexico City.

The great news came via a short video by Snyder. He said, “Hola, Mexico! The biggest icons in the world are coming to Mexico City. The premiere of ‘Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justiceis happening on Saturday, March 19 at the Auditorio Nacional. The stars of the film will join me on a mega red carpet for an exciting night for all Batman and Superman fans. It’s going to be absolutely fantastic to see you. And I can’t wait for everyone in Mexico to find who will win in the greatest gladiator match in the history of the world.”

With this, fans can expect that all the leads in the movie including Ben Affleck (Batman), Henry Cavill (Superman), Amy Adams (Lois), Jesse Eisenberg (Lex Luthor), and Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman) will be there for the premiere.

The announcement came only days after the last trailer for the movie was released where it showed a stronger and darker Batman and mainly focused on the rift between the two iconic superheroes.

Unfortunately, despite the marketing campaign including numerous TV spots and a highly creative Superbowl ad, rumor has it that Warner Bros. is still worried about the eventual turn-out of the movie. The production studio has teamed up with D.C. Comics, and “Batman v. Superman” is set to lay the groundwork to a planned DC Extended Universe.

“This movie is starting to scare [Warner Bros.],” Hitflix reporter Drew McWeeny said, citing unnamed sources. “Response has not been exactly what I think they wanted,” he added.

“I would be surprised if ‘Justice League’ starts shooting when they say it’s going to,” McWeeny further revealed. “I would be equally surprised if Zack Snyder directs it.”

As previously reported, Zack Snyder has previously said that the after the post production of the “Batman v. Superman,” him and his team will be moving on to start on “Justice League” which will be a two-part movie to both be helmed by him.

“Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” will premiere on March 25.
