'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' news: New trailer to come before the year ends; may focus on Superman

With only four months before the premiere of “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” fans are hoping to get another glimpse of the upcoming DC movie.

Director Zack Snyder revealed last month that a new trailer is on its way. While no new footage has been released until now, producer Charles Roven assured that “Honestly, you’re going be seeing something very soon…” noted Collider. However, he did not give a specific date, “I don’t know how you define soon but certainly before the end of the year, how about that?”

According to Movie Pilot, the new trailer should focus more on the perspective of Superman (Henry Cavill) as the first few trailers did not reveal much of him. It suggested that the footage should also reveal previews of Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg), a hint on the villain, and an “epic” music in the background.

As for the upcoming film, “Dawn of Justice” will focus on three main characters, pertaining to Batman (Ben Affleck), Superman, and probably Wonder Woman, Movie Pilot reported. Fans will also see appearances from The Flash (Ezra Miller) and Aquaman (Jason Momoa), but they may just be glimpses of the superheroes.

When asked if roster of characters could be an issue, Roven said, “I don’t think that’s an issue for this film at all. I really don’t… I think that the film is called ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,’ so there’s a reason it’s called ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ and not ‘Dawn of Justice: Batman v Superman.’ So you’re gonna invest mostly in ‘Batman v Superman,’ and I think that you’ll find other characters in there that you hopefully will want to see more of,” noted the same report from Collider.

The producer expressed his excitement for the film and is satisfied that it stood true to its title. He is also excited for the fans to see the film.

“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” will premiere in theatres on March 26, 2016.
