'Batman: Arkham Knight' news: Crime Fighter DLC gives players new episodes, skins, track pack, AR Challenges

The recently released downloadable content pack for interactive video game “Batman: Arkham Knight” may delight fans of both comic books and films as they feature more superheroes from the DC Universe and gears from “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.”

Warner Bros. and Rocksteady Games unveiled the contents in the last week of November which include Crime Fighter Challenge Pack # 4, Arkham Episodes AR Challenges, WayneTech Track Pack, Robin and Batmobile Skins Packs with original Tim Drake Robin Costume, Robin-themed Batmobile Skin, and Riddler-themed Batmobile Skin.

The Crime Fighter pack has several new missions and invisible predator maps featuring Batman, Nightwing, Robin, Catwoman, and Azrael as well. Meanwhile, the episodes have six new AR challenges such as “FreeFlow Combat,” “Invisible Predator” from Arkham Episodes GCPD Lockdown, “Catwoman’s Revenge,” and “Flip of a Coin” with Robin going against Two-Face.

Season Pass holders also received the Batsuit and Batmobile featured in the trailers for the upcoming 2016 movie which may shed light on what the Dark Knight’s vehicle has to offer.

On the other hand, non-season pass players can get their hands on the pack starting Dec. 1. They can also purchase Catwoman and Robin’s episodes individually.

According to a review by Kotaku, the new chapters are a little disappointing as the storylines are deemed to be short and lacking some depth. Catwoman’s quest involves going through Edward Nigma’s automated robot factory to destroy it while Robin’s mission takes place in a garbage dump where Two-Face has kept the spoils of his bank robberies hidden.

Although the heroes, villains, and extra thugs have poignant and interesting dialogues, the narratives are deemed to not satisfy some of the fans’ hunger for better Batman storylines.

“Batman: Arkham Knight” is currently available on Playstation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC. For those who are experiencing problems with the PC version, Warner Bros. is offering a refund until the end of the year.
