'Bachelor in Paradise' season 3 episode 3: Three new female contestants arrive

This Monday on “Bachelor in Paradise,” Chad Johnson was finally booted out of the show, while the arrival of Josh Murray ignited an old feud with Nick Viall. The episode also marked the arrival of Leah Block from Ben Higgins’ season, but her stay at the Playa Escondida resort was short-lived as she was eliminated at the rose ceremony.

Leah arrived hoping that Chad was still around, and she was sorely disappointed to find that the luxury real estate agent was not part of the show anymore. She immediately set her sights on Nick, but he ended up giving his rose to Amanda Stanton. At the rose ceremony, both Leah and Jubilee Sharpe were sent home.

Josh arrived at the resort, and immediately, all the female contestants took notice as he vied for their attention. In a surprising twist, he ended up giving his date card to Amanda. While talking to the camera, Josh admitted that he and Nick have a history of dating the same woman.

It can be recalled that Josh and Nick were Andi Dorfman’s last two contestants on “The Bachelorette.” Andi ended up choosing Josh, but shortly after, the two broke up. The breakup led to Andi writing a book about her experience on the reality show.

During their date, Josh and Amanda talked about Andi’s book, and Josh said that all the allegations were untrue and that it was purely fictional. When they got back, it was clear that any feelings that Amanda had for Nick was gone when Josh entered the picture.

In the next episode, three new girls will be entering the competition, including one who was reportedly almost named as the season 12 “Bachelorette.”

According to Reality Steve, Caila Quinn from Ben Higgins’ season will be arriving at the resort, along with Jen Saviano (Ben’s season) and Ashley Iaconetti (Chris Soules’ season).

The newcomers immediately get dates, as Caila goes on a date with Jared Haibon, Jen with Nick, and Ashley also gets a date with Jared. During the episode, Ashley reportedly has a long talk with Jared about their relationship and they decide that they’re just friends.

“Bachelor in Paradise” airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
