The third season of “Bachelor in Paradise” will be here in a few weeks, and ahead of the new season, spoilers about the competitors, feuds, and engagements have started coming up online.
Spoiler site Reality Steve has the scoop on all the happenings at the Playa Escondida resort in Sayulita, Mexico, where the new season was filmed. Blogger Steve Carbone reports that filming took a total of 18 days from June 8 to June 26 and this resulted to a staggering three proposals by the end of the season.
The season has the same format as previous installments, wherein new people enter the show with date cards and ask someone out. Carbone said that there are at least three people that enter every new episode until the finale. On the weeks the men enter the show, they ask the women out and the women give out the roses, and when the women join the series, they ask for dates, and the men give out the roses at the rose ceremony.
Reality Steve reports that the show started originally with 8 girls and 7 guys. The ladies who started off season 3 are Emily Ferguson, Haley Ferguson, Amanda Stanton, Jubilee Sharpe, Izzy Goodkind, Lace Morris, Sarah Herron, and Carly Waddell. The original male contestants are Evan Bass, Grant Kemp, Chad Johnson, Daniel Maguire, Vinny Ventieria, Nick Viall, and Jared Haibon. Leah Block is said to have joined the show in Day 2.
The blogger reports that Chad connected with Lace during the day and even kissed her. However, by the end of the first night, Chad became a “belligerent drunk” and almost got into a fight with Daniel. The luxury real estate agent is said to also have called Lace a very rude name. The next morning, host Chris Harrison reportedly talked to Chad and told him that he was being removed from the show.
For episode 1 it was the women’s turn to ask for dates, and Carbone says that Leah asked Nick, Jubilee asked Jared, and Nick had another date with Amanda. At the end of the night, Nick gave his rose to Amanda, Grant gave his to Lace, Evan gave his rose to Carly, Vinny gave a rose to Izzy, Daniel gave a rose to Sarah, and Jared gave his rose to Emily. Jubilee and Leah did not receive roses and were sent home.
“Bachelor in Paradise” premieres on Tuesday, Aug. 2 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
