After the success of “Attack on Titan” season 1 both in Japan and other countries, fans are already looking forward to the sequel season.
In the first season, the story focused on the first 34 chapters of the manga, which includes the story arcs of “The Fall of Shiganshina,” “104th Trainees Squad,” “Battle of Trost District” and “The Female Titan.” On the other hand, the upcoming show will focus on the bout of the “104th Trainees Squad” against the Titans that have penetrated Wall Rose. The combat will be led by Captain Erwin Smith, who will later lose his arm and will leave the squad.
The storyline of the upcoming season will also see Kevin Ackerman attempting to eat Eren Yaeger in his Titan form to acquire the Coordinate. However, he eventually spits out the latter as the Coordinate belongs to the Reiss family, the family with the royal lineage in the kingdom. Later on in the story, it will be revealed that the rightful owner of the Coordinate is Lenz, the daughter of Rod Reiss.
Aside from these, “Attack on Titan” season 2 will disclose the true identity of Bertolt Hoover and Reiner Braun, who are actually the Colossal Titan and Armoured Titan, respectively. The biggest spoiler for season 2, however, is Levi Ackerman’s death, as he tries to save Armin Arlert, Mikasa Ackerman, and Eren Yaeger, noted Yibada.
Meanwhile, “Attack on Titan” or “Singeki no Kyojin” in Japanese, is rumored to end soon given that it is not expected to be the same length as “Dragon Ball Z” and “Naruto.” The manga version is already 60 percent done, according to Kawakubo Shintaro, editor of “Attack on Titan.” With this, there are 27 more volumes expected for the franchise, equivalent to approximately three more years of story.
“Attack on Titan” season 2 is expected to come in 2016.
