'Attack on Titan' season 2 delayed again: what to expect

There has been a lot of anticipating regarding the return of the anime series “Attack on Titan.” However, it was revealed that season 2 will face another delay. It was previously reported that “Attack on Titan” season 2 was not going to be released soon due to lack of material.

Unfortunately, it was recently revealed that there is another obstacle keeping the season from starting. According to Crunchy Roll, a home video and streaming network, Selecta Vision, explained that the animation for the season is one of the hindrances for season 2.

Selecta Vision stated that they contacted Kodansha in order to acquire the rights for “Attack on Titan” season 2, which is expected to release in this fall. However, the reply they received indicated that “Attack on Titan” will not premiere in 2016. Instead, the season is already rescheduled to air sometime next year.

With that, there has yet to be any details regarding the characters and plots of “Attack on Titan” season 2. Meanwhile, fans of the manga predict that the upcoming season will focus on the Survey Corps’ new mission, which is to find out more on the existence of titans. Some stated that this will require them to learn more about Eren and his family since it is believed that many answers lie in Eren’s old home.

The first season of “Attack on Titan” teased the involvement of Eren’s father to the creation of Titans. However, it did not go into much detail about how Eren’s father was involved. Because of this, there is a lot of expectation for the season to give more detail about the matter. “Attack on Titan” season 2 is expected to release sometime next year.
