Get ready for some brutal Titan action and some more bloody Titan gore with the new trailer for the Attack on Titan live action film.

The new trailerwhich is a sneak peek for the upcoming sequelshowed more of the brutal and scary-looking Titans mercilessly eating humanschewing them down, tearing them apart, and swallowing them whole as if they were a piece of peanut. It also does not lack footage of the massive Colossal Titan, as well as Eren Jaeger’s Titan form in full action. Clearly, as the sequel’s title says, the world seems to be really at its end, as the trailer showed.

The first Attack on Titan film opened up in Japanese theaters in very successful reception, having a box office record of around 600 million yen ($4.8 million) and a record of ticket sales of around 476,000 tickets during its opening weekend alone.

While based on the hit manga of the same title by Hajime Isayamawhich spun-off a hit anime seriesthe movie itself admittedly deviated from the original source material that one critic review noted that “while not badly made, the movie adaptation should be thought of as a standalone piece not tied to the original fantasy manga franchise.”

Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan) stars Haruma Miura as Eren Jaeger, Kiko Mizuhara as Mikasa Ackerman, Kanata Hong? as Armin Arlert, Hiroki Hasegawa as Shikishima, Takahiro Miura as Jean Kirstein, Nanami Sakuraba as Sasha Blouse, Satoru Matsuo as Sannagi, Shu Watanabe as Fukushi, Ayame Misaki as Hiana, Rina Takeda as Lil, Satomi Ishihara as Zo Hange, Pierre Taki as Souda, and Jun Kunimura as Kubal, among others.

The first Attack on Titan film opened in Japanese theaters on August 1 (and will shortly be followed by openings across regions). The sequel to the movie, Attack on Titan: End of the World, will hit theaters on September 19.

A US release will come later this fall.
