'Attack on Titan' game news: Koei Tecmo Games releases gameplay demo for PS Vita, PS3 versions

Just recently, Koei Tecmo Games revealed an official first look at how their upcoming game “Attack on Titan” would look like for the PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation Vita. In the past few weeks, the game publisher had been showing fans how their much awaited game would look like for the PlayStation 4 console.

In the newest gameplay video released by Koei Tecmo Games, “Attack on Titan” was shown for the first time in an official gameplay trailer. In the trailer, the player character Eren Yaeger fighting off a Titan. Just like in the PS4 version, players can lock on parts of the Titan’s body. As they lock on the target, a distance meter would show up, showing the player their character’s distance to the target location, which will enable them to deliver a perfect and precise blow. While the weak spot of the Titans remain to be its nape, players can also decapitate and damage other body parts of the Titans for a bigger score and a higher bonus.

As for the PlayStation 3 version, the game mechanics remain to be the same. Players will lock on targets and deliver the best and most precise blow using their 3D Maneuver Gear to “fly” around the Titan and avoid getting attacked by it. The PlayStation 3 version of the game showed a finishing blow art when Eren dealt the final blow on the nape of the Titan.

The PS3 version also showed how players can roam around and interact with any building in the game with their 3D Maneuver Gear.

“Attack on Titan” is developed by Omega Force. The game will be released in Japan on Feb. 18. The English version of the game will be released sometime this year.
