ASUS ZenFone Max: huge 5000mAh battery offers ample power


ASUS recently launched a line of their ZenFone devices in India, as well as unveiling the new ZenFone Max for the worldwide smartphone market.

According to their official press release, ASUS Chairman Jonney Shih announced last Thrusday the arrival of several ZenFone devices in the Indian market. The ZenFone 2 Deluxe, ZenFone 2 Laser, ZenFone Selfie, ASUS ZenPad 7.0 and ASUS ZenPad 8.0 will now be available in India, as announced at an exclusive ZenFestival event held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi, India.

“We are very excited to bring our latest ZenFone models and all-new ZenPad Series to the Indian market,” said ASUS Chairman Shih. “These brand-new innovations are each an empowering luxury that strikes the perfect balance of beauty, functionality and performance, and offers Indian consumers a premium user experience tailored to their individual mobile needs.”

Part of the unveiling on the event is the reveal for its worldwide release of the all-new ZenFone Max, a smartphone with a very large battery capacity that users can even use as a powerbank to charge other devices.

The new ASUS ZenFone Max has a 5.5-inch display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection, and runs under a 64-bit Snapdragon 410 chipset with a quad-core 1.2GHz CPU, and an Adreno 306 GPU. It has 2GB or RAM, with variant of either 8GB or 16GB worth of built-in internal storage, both expandable with an external microSD card of up to 128GB.

As for the camera, the new ZenFone Max has a 13 megapixels rear-facing camera that can record videos of up to 1080p at 30 fps rate, and a 5 megapixels front camera for selfies and video calling.

The ASUS ZenFone Max packs a lot of power with its 5000mAh battery, which can also be shared to other devices with its ability to function as a powerbank.

ASUS is yet to reveal the release date and the price for the ZenFone Max.
