ASUS recently expanded its smartphone line up in the Indian market, as the company launched their ZenFone GO in the country. The device is currently the cheapest smartphone in the market, as it only sells for a humble price of INR 5,299 or roughly $80.
The device is exclusively available in the country via online retailer Flipkart, with model ID of ZC500TG-1C043WW. The device was initially released just August of this year.
To recall the specs of the device, it was released as a midrange smartphone running under a MediaTek MT6580 chipset and with a quad-core ARM Cortex A47 CPU clocking in at a frequency speed of 1.3 GHz. Graphics for the device is handled by an ARM Mali-400 MP2 GPU. It packs 2GB RAM and is coupled with two variants of built-in internal memory storage options8GB and 16GB. Storage can be expanded further, as the device supports external microSD expansion of up to 64GB.
The ZenFone GO sports an IPS LCD display of 5 inches with 720p HD resolution and 294 ppi pixel density rate. Moreover, it has viewing angle of 178 degrees. The device measures 144.5 mm tall, 71 mm wide, and 10 mm thick. It weighs 135 grams.
As for the camera, the ZenFone GO smartphone features an 8-megapixel main rear camera. This is coupled with a 2-megapixel front facing snapper for selfies, video calling, and other similar functions.
The device is powered by a removable Li-Polymer battery with capacity of 2,070 mAh. It boots on Android Lollipop 5.1 out of the box with ASUS Zen UI on top of it.
The ASUS ZenFone GO smartphone is available for purchase in black, white, and red.
