ASUS ZenFone 2 laser 6.0 release date: Device now available online in India for Rs 17,999


The 6-inch variant of the recently unveiled ASUS ZenFone 2 Laser is now available in India via third party online retailers.

The smartphonewith model number of ZE601KLis currently available via online retailers Flipkart, Snapdeal, and Amazon for a price of Rs 17,999 or at a price equivalent of around $275. The device will go on sale at physical stores by the second week of December.

For every purchase of the device, the user is entitled to a free 5GB lifetime storage on WebStorage, the cloud storage service of ASUS. A free 100GB Google Drive cloud storage allocation will also come with every purchase of the device.

In terms of specs, the ASUS ZenFone 2 Laser runs under a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 MSM8939 chipset with an octa-core Cortex A53 CPU clocking in at 1.7 GHz and an Adreno 405 GPU. It has an integrated Cat 4 4G LTE with maximum downloads speeds of up to 150 Mbps and maximum upload speeds of 50 Mbps.

The smartphone sports a 6-inch IPS display with 1080p Full HD resolution and pixel density rate of 371 ppi. It is also equipped with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The ASUS ZenFone 2 Laser packs 3GB worth of RAM and 32GB built-in internal storage. It supports external microSD expansion of up to 128GB.

As for the camera, the ZenFone 2 Laser features a 13-megapixel main rear camera with a dual-tone LED flash and a 5-megapixel front snapper.

The device is powered by a 3,000 mAh battery, and it boots on Android Lollipop 5.0 with ASUS Zen UI. The device is set to receive an update to the latest version, the Android Marshmallow 6.0, sometime soon.
