“Arrow” main star Stephen Amell, who plays the hero Oliver Queen aka The Green Arrow in the DC Comics TV universe, recently expressed his willingness to do a crossover episode with “Supergirl,” which stars Melissa Benoist as the female heroine. Now that “Supergirl” and “The Flash” are officially having a crossover episode later this march, Amell also thought that his Green Arrow crossing meeting the cousin of The Man of Steel may not be as far off as it may have originally seemed.
In the past few weeks, it was officially announced that “The Flash” from The CW would be having a crossover episode with “Supergirl” on CBS, with the episode happening in the series of the latter. While the three DC Comics TV showsas of the momentstill exists in a separate universe than that of “Supergirl,” the upcoming crossover is expected to breach that boundary, at least even though the crossover event is expected to happen under the premise of two different Earths meeting together.
In a recent interview with IGN, “Arrow” main actor Stephen Amell discussed how he would want to do a crossover with “Supergirl” in the future, too.
“Sure!” Amell remarked, when asked about his willingness to do the possible project. “In this iteration of the DC Universe, the ‘Television Universe’ as it were, I’m the guy that’s been around the longest, so I always feelwhether I’m on a show or I’m not on a showI always feel as though I can in some way, shape or form represent them, and I always want them to be wildly successful and last for many more years than we end up lasting, because I just want to see people have success.”
“So I would love to go over to Supergirl,” he added. “That would be a blast, if for no other reason than I miss shooting in Los Angeles.”
“The Flash” and “Supergirl” crossover episode will air on March 22. “The Flash” will return on March 22, and “Arrow” on March 23.
