A good pair of boots can really go a long way, especially when they belong to superheroes, and when said superheroes are set to team up for the biggest TV crossover this side of the DC universe, fans can’t help but take notice.
Stephen Amell, who stars as the titular character in The CW’s DC-based series “Arrow,” recently teased his Twitter and Instagram followers with a snapshot of boots simply captioned, “Coming soon,” which raised more questions than answers about the crossover event coming this fall.
The photo was taken by Amell himself with his Green Arrow boots serving as the centerpiece for four more pairs of familiar footwear that presumably belonged to Grant Gustin’s The Flash, Melissa Benoist’s Supergirl, and “Legends of Tomorrow” regulars, White Canary (Caity Lotz) and The Atom (Brandon Routh).
The actors are currently in Vancouver, British Columbia, where filming for the upcoming seasons of the four DC-branded TV shows began last month, according to the Vancouver Filming Locations Archive, What’s Filming?.
However, crossover episodes are usually released in early December, following the annual tradition initiated by “Arrow” and “The Flash” two years ago. So fans have been wondering what could have possibly made these actors band together in the early days of August, get all suited up, and strike a pose for Amell’s teaser photo way ahead of filming schedule?
Zap2It speculates it may be for a promotional photoshoot touting The CW’s growing roster of DC-branded superheroes.
A repeat of the special short feature, “Three Minute Fight Club,” this time welcoming Supergirl into the team, wouldn’t be too bad either.
Speculations about the set photo and the upcoming crossover will soon be put to rest when The CW’s primetime superhero lineup kicks off in October starting with the “The Flash” on the fourth, “Arrow” on the fifth, “Supergirl” on the 10th, and “Legends of Tomorrow” on the 13th.
