'Arrow' season 5 episode 6 spoilers: 'Olicity' continues to move in opposite directions

Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) dives into her new relationship head first as she contemplates on telling Malone (Tyler Ritter) the truth about her work in tonight’s “Arrow.”

It seems like Oliver’s (Stephen Amell) former girlfriend has already moved on from their long relationship and is now deciding whether to come clean to her new lover about the real nature of her work.

Last week, the vigilante by night found out that his almost wife was currently dating Malone, a police detective recently assigned to the Anti-Crime Unit. And while it seems like fans are still rooting for Olicity to reunite sometime soon, folks behind The CW’s DC Universe are treading a different path.

Amell himself is looking at a new direction in terms of his character’s love life. In an exclusive interview with TV Line when the media outlet visited “Arrow’s” Vancouver set, he talked about what is next for him after he gave Felicity the go-ahead to explore her new relationship.

“I don’t know if he’s ready to move on, but it’s time for Oliver to have another relationship,” the actor said.

Interestingly, a new character in reporter Susan Williams (Carly Pope) has also stealthily been introduced in the narrative. And with the kind of chemistry she has been cooking up with Oliver as early as now, rumor has it that the two may develop a more romantic connection in the future. Amell acknowledged the theory but did not give away specific details.

“I do think that there will be some exploration of a certain element of romance between the two of them, and I hope that people enjoy it, because I’ve found it to be really dynamic so far,” he said.

In tonight’s episode titled “So It Begins,” Oliver searches for a link between the victims of Prometheus’ latest and more intense killing spree which leads to Felicity and Curtis (Echo Kellum) finding out about a connection to Oliver’s past. Thea (Willa Holland) and Lance (Paul Blackthorne), on the other hand, open up to each other during a heart-to-heart talk.

“Arrow” season 5 airs every Wednesday, 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
