John Constantine will be back, as it was announced that actor Matt Ryan will be guesting on an episode of Arrow on its upcoming fourth season.

The short-lived one season run of Constantine may be over, but Constantine will be back soon enough, as he is set to join the Green Arrow in an episode for Season 4. According to a report by The Hollywood Reporter, Matt Ryan will be guesting on Arrow as John Constantine on Episode 5 of Season 4. Constantine will be coming to Oliver’s help when a bow and arrow can no longer solve the problem at hand.

“We are thrilled to have Matt Ryan reprise the role of John Constantine on an upcoming episode of Arrow,” said Arrow executive producer Marc Guggenheim. “Matt is an incredibly talented actor and his portrayal of this beloved character was always something we admired. The introduction of magic and mysticism on the show this season has provided a truly organic opportunity for us to bring John Constantine to Arrow and the CW’s DC universe. It will be a well-deserved tip of the hat to all the Constantine fans who were so incredibly supportive of that series.”

Actor Matt Ryan also made the announcement on Twitter happily, as he posted a video with a caption saying, “The Trench Coat is being dusted off.”

Arrow‘s main star Stephen Amell had previously expressed his interest in making a guest appearance should the show find a new home for its second season. However, after repeated attempts at finding a new network that would carry the show after NBC cancelled it, showrunner Daniel Cerone announced back in June that the cast and creative team of the show have been released from their contracts.

“I promised I’d share news when I had it sadly, that news is not good,” he wrote in a blog post. “The cast and writers of Constantine are being released from their contracts. The studio tried to find a new home for the show, for which we’re forever grateful, but those efforts didn’t pan out. I’m sorry, I wasn’t provided any information on the attempts to sell the show elsewhere. All I can report is that the show is over.”

Arrow returns Wednesday, Oct. 7 at 8 p.m. on The CW.
