Wild Dog and Black Canary will return in the upcoming season of “Arrow.”

A recent report from Entertainment Tonight indicated that the network promoted Rick Gonzalez and Juliana Harkavy, who play Wild Dog and Black Canary, respectively, to regular cast members.

Gonzalez’s character, Wild Dog, first appeared in the earlier episodes of the current season. He is a part of Team Arrow. He works alongside Mister Terrific (Echo Kellum), Artemis (Madison McLaughlin), and Ragman (Joe Dinicol). They all aim to annihilate all criminals that threaten Starling City.

On the other hand, Harkavy plays former police detective Dinah Drake. She became Black Canary after Laurel Lance’s (Katie Cassidy) death in the fourth season finale.

Cassidy will also return next season. She will reportedly play Black Siren, Laurel’s villainous doppelganger from Earth-2.

“We were so taken by Katie’s fearless interpretation of this character that we knew her story was not yet finished,” showrunner Marc Guggenheim said in a statement.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome Katie back to Arrow as Black Siren, though as her appearances on ‘Arrow’ and DC’s ‘Legends of Tomorrow’ this season show, she never really left the family,” he added.

In the previous episode, Oliver (Stephen Amell) disbanded his team after making a revelation brought about by Chase (Josh Segarra). He then contacted Bratva to take down Chase. Diggle (David Ramsey) convinced Oliver to seek help.

Meanwhile, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) and Curtis (Kellum) successfully decrypted Chase’s device and revealed to the police that the latter is indeed Prometheus.

Unfortunately, Chase murdered Oliver’s guards and escaped.

In the next episode, Green Arrow is doing everything he can to stop Prometheus, who compromised the team’s and the city’s security. However, Oliver doesn’t agree with Felicity’s plan.

The fifth season of “Arrow” will continue on April 26 on The CW.
