Apple Watch 2 release date tipped for March roll out together with the iPhone 6c

The Christmas shopping rush is at its peak, and people are cramming to fill in their respective gift lists. However, to those who are looking to give their tech buff friends or even themselves the Apple Watch, it may be smarter to just sit the smart watch first and wait for its second iteration due next year.

It looks like it is going to be sooner than later for the release of the much awaited Apple Watch 2 as reports now claim that a March event could pretty well be its debut platform. The tech giant is supposedly looking to organize a special affair to debut their upcoming devices including the iOS wearable together with the iPhone 6c.

If these reports turn out to be true, it will only be less than 3 months before the Apple Watch 2 hits the shelves. However, up until now, there are no clear specs given as to what the new device will bring. Only occasional rumors have been circulating such as iPhone free Wi-Fi, FaceTime video camera, and better trackers for sleep and activity.

As of now, the price of the debut version of the Apple Watch already has already been slashed by $100 on all models being sold at Best Buy, which makes it only $249. This could also be an indication that the Cupertino-based company is already gearing up for a follow-up installment. Furthermore, Target also sells the gadget for $349 with an accompanying gift card worth $100.

In another report by website Value Walk, a preview for the new operating system for the watch which now includes a “time travel function” and a new clock face may also hint at how the Apple Watch 2 will look like. Instead of a collaborative device, Apple may be leaning towards making their arm device more of a standalone gadget.
