Apple Black Friday 2016 sales, deals: Best Buy, Target, Walmart offer discounted iPhones, MacBooks


With the holidays just around the corner, deals for the upcoming Black Friday sale have been revealed by sellers and stores that will take part in the said event.

According to a running list by Fortune, buyers looking for new smartphones can get a good discount at several retail stores.

Walmart will sell the iPhone 5s for only $99 with a $50 savings on its regular price. No down payment is needed for iPhone or Samsung smartphones that are purchased through the AT&T Next or Verizon Device Payment programs. In addition, consumers will also get a $250 Walmart gift card.

On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy J3 which has an original price of $99 is marked down to $39. Walmart is also offering Samsung Galaxy S6 for $249 with a Straight Talk Wireless contract that brings around $150 in savings.

The newest iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will also be available at Target for no money down. The device will come free with a qualified cellular plan on AT&T, Sprint or Verizon. Those who activate and purchase the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge will be given a $250 gift card as well.

Meanwhile, Best Buy is offering up to a $250 gift card for the iPhone 7 and iPhone SE at $10 per month. The latter gives customers $160 in savings on the handheld.

When it comes to the Cupertino-based giant’s laptop lines, the aging MacBook Air will be available for $800 at Best Buy, which is $200 off the original price. The larger 13-inch MacBook Air also has $200 discount and will only retail for $999.99. Moreover, Best Buy is selling the 21.5-inch iMac with a $200 discount, reducing its price to $900. The larger 27-inch iMac with Retina 5K display also has a reduced price of $1,599.

Aside from smartphones and MacBook laptops, other items like the Apple Watch, iPads, Apple TVs and accessories will also be sold at lower prices.

Black Friday takes place on Nov. 25.
