AORUS X5: laptop with up to 32GB of RAM, 2.5TB of storage, 4K resolution offers superb gaming experience

Ever wanted a strong and powerful gaming laptop? Having one means on-the-go gaming and portable fun experience. The usual high-end gaming laptop sports very big screens, from 17-18 inches wide. Meet the AORUS X5 15-inch gaming laptop. Produced by Gigabyte division AORUS, the X5 sports a size that sits well in-between the very big 17-inch X7 model, and the compact 13.9-inch X3 Plus model. The X5 is described by AORUS as the “world’s most powerful 15” gaming laptop.

The AORUS X5 seems to really live up to its very bold claim, as it packs a set of very powerful specs under its hood, all designed to give the most dedicated gamer that best experience possible.

It runs under a 5th Generation Intel Core i7-5700HQ processor, which clocks-in on a speed of up to 3.5GHz, with a massive NVIDIA GTX 965M SLI GDDR5 8GB graphics. And for additional support for the best gaming experience on a laptop, the X5 features a 3K WQHD+ screen with a 2880 x 1620 resolution, and its wide viewing angle gives a crisp and clear display at any angle, vertically or horizontally.

It has a built-in 8GB DDR3L 1866 RAM, but the system has four slots, so the overall RAM can reach an amount of up to 32GB. It features unique quad-storage houses that have three 512GB SSDs, and one massive 2TB. Perfect for all the games, music, movies, TV shows, and other media and files on-the-go, in just one device without the need for an external hard drive.

The X5 also prides itself to be the world’s first laptop with Hardware Live Stream Engine. It also features XSplit Gamecaster, which allows users to broadcast their gameplay with ease and speed.

All this power, and the AORUS X5 is only 0.9-inch thin, and weighs only 2.5kg.

The AORUS X5 was initially presented during the recent CES 2015, and was officially unveiled during the Taipei Computex 2015. The X5 is sold for $2299.
