With Marvel’s Ant-Man coming out soon, the studio is trying its best to get the word out there, the latest being on the occasion of Father’s Day.
In the latest trailer released by Marvel, the character of Scott Lang is seen with his daughter. The scenes from the trailer emphasize the father-daughter relationship.
The trailer was released by the official Twitter account of Ant-Man, along with a caption that read: “Happy Father’s Day weekend from Marvel’s #AntMan! On July 17, spend some time with your hero: http://Fandango.com/AntMan.”
The movie, directed by Peyton Reed, has a pretty solid cast of characters — Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Corey Stoll, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Pea, Tip Harris, Judy Greer and Michael Douglas.
The other trailer released for the movie showed the scenes where Ant-Man’s character was being taught how to fight by Hope van Dyne. The trailer also shows scenes from his family life.
The official synopsis released for the movie, reads:”The next evolution of the Marvel Cinematic Universe brings a founding member of The Avengers to the big screen for the first time with Marvel Studios’ “Ant-Man.” Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, master thief Scott Lang must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.”
Douglas, who plays the character of Hank Pym, who created Ant Man’s suit and founded the Avengers, recently said at a press conference: “I’m excited to be a part of it! I was given a whole bunch of comics to see and understand, and still I didn’t realize how important Hank Pym was to Antman and The Avengers. It’s been fun. It’s a fascinating process. I got to watch the different units, the visual-effects and the macro unit in this particular case, dealing with this incredible angle from the Ant’s point of view, which is just such a trip when you see it It’s just mind blowing.”
Ant-Man is set to release in theaters on July 17, 2015.
