Angelababy news: Chinese star's $31 million wedding

Dressed in a custom Christian Dior gown which she helped design, Hong Kong model, actress and singer Angelababy got married to actor Huang Xaoming earlier this month. The bespoke dress is made of ivory satin which took almost half a year and only two fittings to finish, and it is also adorned with nearly 100 hand-cut rose bouquets made of Chantilly lace.

The wedding dress is not the only thing the 28-year-old bride wore in celebration of her getting married. Prior to the wedding, Yeung and her then-fianc-now-husband Huang flew to Paris to shoot a series of pre-nuptial photo shoot. There, she donned a couple more of couture gowns from Elie Saab as shown in the fashion house’s official Instagram account

On the day itself, the Shanghai Exhibition Center was filled with roses, and a holographic castle was built to serve as a backdrop along with a giant wall of flowers. Outfitted screens were also put up which displayed photos from the couples shoot in Paris all throughout the festivities.

The venue housed 2,000 of Asia’s biggest celebrities as the couple’s well-wishers and guests. Each guest received gift bags containing high-priced cellular phones, among other things. The matrimonial cake also stood out on its own at 10 feet and was shaped as a carousel that reportedly took a month to assemble.

Amidst everything, the bride’s ring still stole the spotlight as it exudes extravagance and luxury. The $1.5 million rock was designed by Parisian jeweler Chaumet and features a 5-carat pear-shaped diamond with a few other diamond cuts surrounding it.
