The new version of the Android operating system, the yet unnamed Android N, will be available for three HTC devices soonthe HTC 10 flagship, the HTC One M9, and the upper mid-range HTC On A9. This announcement was made following Google’s release of the latest and third developer preview for the newest operating system.
HTC recently announced via a post on its official Twitter account that the company will be rolling out updates for the new Android N for three of its devicesthe HTC 10, One M9, and One 9. However, these won’t be the only three that will have the update, as the Taiwanese tech company promised to release a list of additional devices soon.
No release date was announced so far, but it can be expected in fall as it wil be the same time when Google will finally have a public release of the Android N.
Aside from the release of the third developer preview version of the new Android N, Google also announced one of the new operating system’s newest and most notable features that it will be boasting once publicly launchedbuilt-in support for virtual reality with the new Goggle Daydream VR.
The new Google Daydream VR will be incorporated with the Android N system. This will enable capable smartphones to enjoy virtual reality and VR-enabled applications within the system. With a new headset that is being developed by Google, the Daydream VR mode will have users enjoy a wide range of VR-enabled applications such as the Google PlayStore, Google Street View, YouTube, Play Movies, Google Photos, and games that will have support for VR on mobile devices.
