With the fifth season of the FX’s anthology series “American Horror Story: Hotel” already wrapped up and gaining recognition from award giving bodies, the talk seems to focus now on the expected sixth installment.
Although details are being kept under wraps, rumors have it that Ryan Murphy’s creations will see the return of Lady Gaga who recently won a Golden Globe for her role as The Countess.
Murphy even took it to Twitter previously and tweeted, “Lady Gaga is so brilliant in AHS Season 5 that yesterday I officially asked her to join Season 6. Say yes @ladygaga!” However, it remains to be seen what will the singer’s answer be.
When it comes to Angela Bassett, Murphy reportedly told her during the night of the award event that, “Tonight I started to tell all the actors who they’re gonna play for next season because I had too much to drink… so I told Angela Bassett and she was like, ‘WHAT?!'”
Meanwhile Jessica Lange may also return if she likes the role being offered to her, and Emma Roberts shared that her comeback has seemingly been confirmed previously, “Ryan and I said next season we’ll do something amazing and devilish. I love this season, I watch most of it with my eyes closed, but I think I get the gist. I love Lady Gaga so much, so I was like, ‘Next season I want to work with Lady Gaga for sure,'” she shared.
Among other recurring actors who are expected to reprise their regular participation as cast members include Evan Peters, Lily Rabe, and Sarah Paulson.
Moreover, during the Television Critics Association press tour, FX head John Landgraf shared that the timeline of the narrative will be set in two periods – present time with some echoes of the past. He added that the storyline will be set “principally in the present.”
Season 6 of “American Horror Story” is expected to premiere sometime during autumn this year.
