The fifth season of American Horror Story is set to return to the screen in October with more characters on the way.

Darren Criss from the series Glee is reportedly in talks to join American Horror Story, playing the character of Justin, “a Silver Lake hipster who heads to the hotel on Halloween with his equally hip girlfriend to escape pesky trick-or-treaters,” as described in E! Online. Justin becomes too demanding and irks the hotel owner, Iris, played by Kathy Bates, eventually seeking revenge and brutally murders him.

Other characters who are anticipated next season are Lady Gaga, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Finn Wittrock, Angela Bassett, Matt Bomber, Cheyenne Jackson, Max Greenfield, Naomi Campbell, Was Bentley, Emma Roberts, Denis O’Hare, Chloe Sevigny, and Lily Rabe.

There is not much hint regarding the upcoming plot, but some information was teased regarding some of the characters. Ryan Murphy, creator of the show, said that Angela Basset “will be making lots of trouble with Lady Gaga in the ballroom and elsewhere,” as reported by Zap2it. The same news portal mentioned that Sarah Paulson will be “the baddest bad girl of them all,” while Lily Rabe will “portray a famous murderer who has stayed at the titular hotel.” It further mentioned that Naomi Campbell will go against Lady Gaga and “pays the ultimate price for her critiques” in the show. On the other hand, Murphy further teased fans with the character of Evan Peters, posting on his Twitter, “This season, Evan Peters will be waiting for you in Room 64” with the hashtag #AHS.

American Horror Story is a horror anthology series which is by nature a miniseries per episode. It contains different characters and settings and has a separate beginning, middle, and end. American Horror Story initially premiered in 2011 and “Hotel” is the fifth installment of the series.
