American Horror Story Hotel new spoilers: Neil Patrick Harris says doesn't have a role next season but is excited to watch it


Neil Patrick Harris may not be dropping by American Horror Story: Hotel soon, revealed the actor himself, to the great disappointment of fans who were hoping for his return to the anthology.

In last season’s Freak Show, he appeared in two episodes as Chester Creb, a magician and ventriloquist who became the one time owner of Frulein Elsa’s Cabinet of Curiosities. He appeared in two episodes of the show. Harris’ husband David Burtka also guested in one episode of the season.

In an interview with TVLine, Harris said while he would love to return to the show, he is currently very busy with his new show, Best Time Ever with NBC.

“It was a great honor for myself and for David to be players in Freak Show, but yeah, I’m busy with this show. I think the Hotel is booked, as they say. There’s no vacancy at the moment, but I can’t wait to see what’s going to happen,” he said referring to the big name stars that the show has lined up for the season.

Aside from headliner Lady Gaga, newbies to the show include supermodel Naomi Campbell who will play a Vogue editor, Max as Gabriel, a platinum blond Hollywood junkie, Cheyenne Jackson as fashion icon Will Drake, Matt Bomer as Lady Gaga’s lover in addition to the returning cast members Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Sarah, Evan Peters, Wes Bentley, Chlo Sevigny, Mare Winningham, Finn Wittrock and Denis O’Hare who will play cross dressing bar owner Liz Taylor,  reported Entertainment Weekly.

Lily Rabe will also be returning to play one of the deadliest female serial killers in America, Aileen Wuornos for the show’s Halloween episode, reported EW.

In addition, co-creator Ryan Murphy teased that Hotel will be connected to Season 1’s Murder House and it will eventually be revealed how the anthologies are linked together.

The season kicks off in FX on October 7.
