'50 Shades Darker' news: Dakota Johnson reveals that she 'blacked out' after promotions finished; extremely proud of '50 Shades of Grey'

It is almost just a year after “50 Shades of Grey” blasted through the theaters and made Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson household names. The duo have been active in the business for quite some time now, but movie adaptation of E. L. James’ novels arguably catapulted both stars in a different level of stardom.

For Johnson, she revealed that she did have some blurred moments after movie promotions were done.

“It feels like a lifetime ago. I feel like I’ve been five different people since then. What did I do afterwards? I was working – I kept going. The night I hosted ‘Saturday Night Live’ was the end of promoting the movie. And then I think I blacked it out. I went into an emotional void,” she revealed via Total Film.

At that time, the cast and crew went on full rounds in terms of promo schedules, holding multiple premieres and countless press junkets. And while some may misinterpret what the 26-year-old said, Johnson said that she is proud of the work the team has done in “50 Shades.”

In a separate report by Vogue UK, which she graced the cover of, Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith’s daughter showed no signs of regret in starring in the film

“I’m proud of ‘Fifty Shades of Grey.’ I don’t need to distance myself from that. The more work I do, the more the general public sees the different things I can do. Do I think it opened doors? Yeah. More people know my name.”

Meanwhile, Jamie Dornan has also been in the spotlight for playing billionaire Christian Grey. The Irish actor is expecting a second child with wife, Amelia Warner, while juggling time with the upcoming release of his Award winning TV show, “The Fall.”

“50 Shades Darker” is slated for a Feb. 10, 2017 release and will introduce new characters like Mrs. Robinson, Leila, and Jack Hyde.
