2016 Golden Globes Awards news: Channing Tatum reveals wanting to see Beyonc again after lip sync performance

Actor Channing Tatum and wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum attended the 2016 Golden Globes Awards in Beverly Hills, California on Sunday. The lovely couple still look happy despite competing against each other at the Lip Sync Battle.

The American actor wowed his fans when he made an appearance on the show’s second season premiere to compete against his wife of six years. The 35-year-old actor impersonated award-winning singer Beyonc by performing her famous song “Run the World (Girls).”

A few days after the episode was aired, the Associated Press finally had the chance to ask the “Jupiter Ascending” star about his jaw-dropping performance of the hit single by Queen Bey, who also made an appearance on the show.

In an interview with E! News during the awards’ night red carpet arrival, the actor revealed that he wasn’t able to chat with the singer. The two met during the show but somehow, they looked identical. Channing expressed his desire to meet the “If I Were a Boy” singer in the future but he wants it to be normal. He doesn’t want to look like her if they ever meet again.

“She did such a solid, and I met her pretty much looking like her on stage, which I hope I get to meet her one day not looking like her,” the actor told E! News in the interview.

Meanwhile, Jenna never expected that their performance would be something big. According to the dancer and actress, they just performed like they were having fun. Learning that many people watched and were entertained by it was a surprise.

Jenna performed Ginuwine’s “Pony” and did a lap dance with her husband impersonating his popular role in “Magic Mike,” which was released in 2012.

Attending the awards night served as a date night for the couple, having left their 2-year-old daughter at home.
