Latest reports are saying that Apple might not reveal any new device during the annual World Wide Developers Conference, which will also mean that the long rumored Apple iPad Air 3 might not see the light of day until September.
According to a report by 9to5Mac, latest information in the rumor mill is pointing to the possibility that Apple might not be doing any kind of hardware-related presentation during the upcoming and highly anticipated World Wide Developers Conference 2016. This is the annual event where the Cupertino-based company always makes their major product reveals.
Instead, the event, rumors said, will be heavy on announcements regarding Apple's software for different platforms—the iOS with the long rumored iOS 10 and possible upgrades and changes to the watchOS and tvOS. The MacOS for Apple computers is also expected to see some changes and new features if not an entirely new version introduced at the event.
The iPad Air 3 has been in the rumor mill for several months now. The device was first rumored to be coming alongside the 4-inch iPhone SE. However, it turned out that the device that was released with the small iPhone was the new iPad Pro 9.7.
While nothing is certain about the rumored iPad Air 3 now, it was previously suggested that it will sport the same 9.7-inch display with 2048x1536 Quad HD resolution, but it will come slimmer and lighter than the iPad Pro 9.7. It might be powered by an A10 chip—if it will be released by that time—that might also power the upcoming iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.
