Disney recently announced its massive line-up of new and upcoming films—ranging from animations, to live-action fairy tale films, to cartoons, and even new movies for the marvel Cinematic Universe.
The official Oh My Disney blog reveals the list of upcoming films from this year up to 2019. First in the list is The Good Dinosaur, which opens in theaters this coming November 25. Next up is Finding Dory, which opens on June 17, 2016. This will be followed by Cars 3, which will be released on June 16, 2017. Toy Story 4 has been pushed back a year later, and will now be released on June 15, 2018 instead of the previous planned release of June 16, 2017. Lastly, the much awaited and long overdue The Incredibles 2 sequel will finally be seen on June 21, 2019.
A new movie, entitled Coco, will hit theaters on November 22, 2017. Not much is known about the film, but Disney describes it as a story of "a spirited 12-year-old boy named Miguel, who somehow finds himself in the fantastical realm of dead."
Another Disney Animation title set for release is Gigantic, and will hit theaters on March 6, 2018. An untitled Disneytoon Studios film will be coming on April 12, 2019; two new Pixar films are also slated for a March 13, and June 19 release in 2020; a Disney Animation Studios film, on the other hand, is slated for November 5, 2020.
The announcement also included upcoming live-action fairy tale movies, following the success of Maleficent and Cinderella. Four films will be released throughout 2017 to 2019—on December 22, 2017; November 2, 2018; March 29, 2019; and November 8, 2019.
As for Marvel Studios, the Ant-Man sequel was also announced, Ant-Man and The Wasp for a July 6, 2018 release, pushing back Black Panther to a release date of February 16, 2018. This will also cause the Captain Marvel film to be pushed back to a new release date of March 8, 2019—only two months before the Avengers: Infinity War Part II film hits theaters.
